Twitter IM feature is still down for... almost eternity already and this might just give Ping.fm enough time to snatch that vital feature from Twitter.
Interestingly enough, it also allows status update, blog and micro-blog post via IM (XMPP) to 15 other popular web 2.0 sites -- Bebo, Blogger, brightkite, Facebook, hi5, Jaiku, LinkedIn, LiveJournal, Mashable, MySpace, Plaxo Pulse, Plurk, Pownce, Tumblr and Xanga.
